Play today’s word chain

How do the words connect?

Neighboring answers have the same letters in the same positions, except for one. In the example, COLD becomes CORD by changing L to R, then CORD becomes CARD by changing O to A. You cannot rearrange the letters.

Use the clue to find each answer, and use neighboring words for extra help. When both neighboring words are solved, the changed letter is highlighted in lighter green.

How do I enter and edit letters?

Click a letter cell and start typing. You can start with any clue and edit any unsolved answer. Use the left and right arrows to move between letters, and the up and down arrows to move between unsolved words. Use Tab to move between words and Enter to check your answers.

You can edit an incorrect answer and try again. There is no penalty for trying. Correct answers stay locked.

When playing in Lithuanian, accented letters are distinct: E is not Ė, I is not Į, and U is not Ū. Enter them with your keyboard or the Lithuanian letter buttons below the game board.

Which word forms should I use?

Use basic dictionary forms, such as singular nouns and base-form verbs. In Lithuanian, nouns use the singular nominative, verbs the infinitive, and adjectives the masculine singular nominative. Some clues describe geographical proper names.

How does “Reveal a letter” work?

Select an unrevealed cell and press “Reveal a letter”. The letter is marked yellow, stays in its original position and cannot be edited. Used hints count toward your result.

Does everyone get the same chain?

Yes. Each language and word length has a separate daily chain, shared by everyone playing that variant. New puzzles arrive every day at midnight in Lithuania.

Switching language or word length keeps your progress in the other variants.

Do I need to register?

No. Grandinele.lt is a free daily word game with no registration. Progress and statistics are saved in this browser on this device, if browser storage is available. They do not sync between devices.

After completing a chain, you can share your result without revealing the answers.
